Bhubaneswar: The testing of high-risk contacts of doctors from AIIMS-Bhubaneswar, who had tested positive for COVID-19, is underway. The update was provided by the premier institute via Twitter.
The tweet said that, so far, five doctors have tested positive; one on June 3 and four for June 4. The contacts of the first positive case have tested negative. Meanwhile, the testing of contacts of the rest of the four cases is underway.

It added as per COVID-19 testing guidelines, over 250 employees of AIIMS-Bhubaneswar have been tested and all of them have tested negative.
The junior doctor whose test reports had come positive on June 3 was the first health care provider in Odisha to test positive. Later, three senior residents and one junior resident had tested positive. Besides these five doctors, four from MKCG MCH Berhampur, two from Rourkela Government Hospital and one each from City Hospital Cuttack, Talcher Covid Hospital and Nayagarh district headquarters hospital have been infected.
