Bhubaneswar: Bhaskar Sahoo, who allegedly threw ink on 5T Secretary VK Pandian and Puri Collector Samarth Verma during their visit to Satyabadi in Puri on Saturday, was released by the police late last night.

Bhaskar, a resident of Haripur village under Kanas block in the Satyabadi Assembly constituency, was released after signing an undertaking that he would not repeat such acts in the future. He threw ink on Pandian, the private secretary to Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and 5T Secretary, while he was attending an event at Utkalmani Gopabandhu Smruti Mahavidyalaya during his two-day visit to Puri.

Despite the ink attack on him, Pandian continued meeting people wearing a white shirt smeared with ink.
