Bhubaneswar: The third phase of the first instalment of financial assistance under the Subhadra scheme will be credited directly to the bank accounts of over 20 lakh women beneficiaries on November 24.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida stated that the funds will be disbursed at a special event in Sundergarh on November 24. All Anganwadi workers have been included in the list and will receive the money in this phase on November 24, she added.
A review will be conducted on 2.67 lakh applicants, and those who meet the eligibility criteria will receive the benefit, she said. A physical verification will be held for the remaining applicants, who will receive the money in December after clearance, Parida informed.
The Deputy CM appealed to 5 lakh applicants to provide a single account with one mobile number and Aadhaar linked, making it easier for the bank to release the money. A total of 1.16 crore women have applied to be included in the scheme.
“We aim to reach 1 crore beneficiaries by December. On November 24, the number of beneficiaries will reach the 80 lakh mark. New beneficiaries who meet all the eligibility criteria will receive the benefit of two instalments simultaneously on March 8,” the Deputy CM said.
