Puri: Balanga police in Puri district have arrested three youths for allegedly perpetrating heinous act of violence against minor children from the Dalit community in Kotakosanga village.
The accused reportedly tied the victims to an electric pole, burned them with cigarettes, and forced them to consume urine.
Police have secured a video of the incident, which serves as critical evidence against the accused. The Balanga police are actively investigating to identify all individuals visible in the footage, with stringent legal action promised against those found guilty. The arrested youths have been forwarded to court.
Given the sensitive nature of the case, the police have assured comprehensive measures to ensure justice. The Pipili Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) confirmed that a chargesheet will be filed promptly against the accused.
