Keonjhar: Three elephants including two calves died after being hit by a goods train near Behera hutting under Joda police limits in Keonjhar district.
Reportedly, the three were part of a herd of 22 elephants that was crossing the railway tracks on Thursday night when they were hit by the train.
While one calf died last night, another calf and the mother elephant succumbed to their injuries on Friday. The Forest department had initiated a probe into the matter.
