Baripada/Sonepur/Bhawanipatna: Three persons including a former Zilla Parishad Member died in two separate road mishaps in Mayurbhanj and Sonepur districts of Odisha.
Former Zilla Parishad Member Soudagar Patra died after being hit by an auto-rickshaw while he was returning home from the market in Thakurmunda area of Mayurbhanj last night.
A cyclist died after being hit by a motorcycle at Singhijuba under Binika police limits in Sonepur district today.
The deceased identified as Sudarsan Bhoi of Singhijuba was returning after delivering milk at Jampali when the accident occurred. While he died on the spot, the two persons on the motorcycle were also injured.
A truck driver died after the vehicle overturned on Ampani Ghati on Koksara-Nabarangpur road last night. The truck on its way from Nabarangpur to Kalahandi lost its balance on the turning and overturned.
