Konark: At least three persons were injured after the car in which they were travelling caught fire after being hit by another vehicle in the rear on the Puri-Konark road in Odisha on Tuesday.
The incident occurred at around 4.00 am today when a car en route from Puri to Konark with three passengers was hit by another vehicle near Ramchandi on the Puri-Konark road.
The impact of the collision was so severe that the car overturned and was thrown off the road. The occupants of the vehicle, however, managed to come out before it caught fire.
The three injured passengers were rushed to a hospital in Puri where their condition is said to be stable.
On being informed, Konark Fire Services rushed to the scene but the car was completely ravaged. The Chandrabhaga Marine Police have seized the car and launched an investigation into the incident.
