Three Journalists Arrested After Clash In Talcher

Bhubaneswar: Three Journalists were arrested on Sunday after a violent clash erupted between two groups of journalists near Hatatota Level Crossing in Talcher on Saturday night.

The accused have been identified as Manil Maharana, Anam Naz, and Shahid Khan.

According to police, journalist Rabindra Sethi filed a complaint alleging that he was attacked during the incident, sustaining injuries to his head and hand.

“Rabindra Sethi reported that while purchasing fruits at a local market, he was assaulted by a group of journalists,” said SDPO Bharat Charan Sahoo of Talcher Police Station. “Following his complaint, a case was registered and three accused—Manil Maharana, Anam Naz, and her husband Shahid Khan—were arrested and forwarded to court. One more accused is currently absconding and efforts are underway to arrest him.”
