Three Killed As Bike Hits Tree In Mayurbhanj District

Baripada: In a tragic accident on Saturday, a biker and his two pillion riders lost their lives after their motorcycle collided with a roadside tree near Dimia village in Baghda panchayat under Suliapada police limits, Mayurbhanj district.

According to reports, the trio was returning from the ‘ghata uttolan’ ceremony of the Bhim Mela, held at Singhada, when the accident occurred. The biker reportedly lost control of the vehicle, leading to the fatal collision with the tree.

Local residents rushed the injured to the nearest government hospital using the 108 ambulance service. Due to the severity of their injuries, they were later shifted to the district headquarters hospital in Baripada. Unfortunately, the attending doctors declared all three brought dead upon arrival.

The identities of the deceased have not yet been established, and authorities are investigating the incident to determine the exact cause of the accident.
