Bolangir: Three persons were killed due to a lightning strike in Jadamunda village under Loisingha police limits here on Wednesday. The deceased have been identified Prasant Tandi (27), Kanahu Munda (20), and Chandan Jhankar (12) of the same village. They had gone to the village pond for attending nature’s call.
As it started raining heavily, the trio took shelter under a tree when the lightning stuck, killing them on the spot. They were declared dead at the local hospital. A pall of gloom descended on the village following the tragedy.
