The incident took place this afternoon in the Takba area of Nakachi panchayat in Kishore Nagar block of Angul district.

During a sudden thunderstorm, the four male workers took shelter under a nearby mango tree, where they were struck by lightning. Everyone fell unconscious, and after some time, Arun Behera shouted for help, prompting villagers to rush to the scene and admit them to Kishorenagar Community Health Center for treatment. Unfortunately, Prafulla Majhi and Praveen Majhi were declared dead by the doctors.
