Bhubaneswar: At least three persons were killed in separate incidents of lightning strike in the State on Tuesday. In the first case, two persons were killed in Bhubanpur village in Madhupurgarh panchayat under Dharmachaya block in Jajpur district.
The deceased were identified as Chandan Mallik (16) and Banchanidhi (20). The two had gone out to cut grass in the fields when lightning struck, leaving them unconscious. They were declared dead at a local hospital.
