Three Maoists Militia Members Surrender Before Malkangiri SP

Malkangiri: Three Maoist militia members of south Bastar division of Chhattisgarh today surrendered before Malkangiri superintendent of police (SP).

The naxals have been identified as Deva Madvi (18), Adma Madkami (24), Muka Sodi (25). All three extremists are from Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, a release issued by the Malkangiri police said.

Deva Madvi had joined in GRD (Grama Rakshya Dala) under Konta AC of South Bastar Division in 2020. He worked for the organisation from his Entapad as a GRD member till January 2024. He used to collect ration and work as a courier for Maoist group of Konta AC.

He left the left the GRD after establishment of a CRPF camp at Dabakonta.

Adma Madkami had joined as Bhumkhal militia of Konta AC in 2019. In 2021, he had joined the GRD (Grama Rakshya Dala) and remained active till January 2024. He participated in various activities of Maoist like extortion of levy, planting of IEDs, attack on police camp. Madkami left the GRD after establishment of a CRPF camp at Dabakonta.

Similarly, Sodi joined as Maoist Militia of Konta AC in 2018. In 2022 he joined as GRD member and used to collect ration and work as a courier for Maoist group. He quit the rebel organisation after CRPF camp was set up at Dabakonta.
