**Kandhamal:** In a tragic incident here on Wednesday, three minor girls drowned to death at Purtamaha village in Daringbadi block. The deceased have been identified as Renuka Nayak, Menaka Nayak and Nisha Senapati all belonging to Purtamaha village.
The three girls had gone to attend the nature’s call to a village pond where they slipped into the water. As they did not return home, the family members launched a search and discovered that the three girls had drowned.
Daringabadi police and Fire Services personnel rushed to the spot and retrieved the bodies from the pond. Local police have registered cases of unnatural death and sent the bodies for autopsy to a local hospital.
