Bhubaneswar: Three members of a family were rescued from Kanas Road railway station and rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition after they reportedly consumed poison on a train.
According to sources, Raju Mandal, his wife, and his daughter belong to Jashipur in Mayurbhanj. They were travelling from Mayurbhanj to Puri when they reportedly consumed poison and fell ill. They were rescued at Kanasa Road station and initially taken to the nearby Delang Hospital for treatment.
As their condition deteriorated, they were shifted to Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar via ambulance.
The reason behind their suspected poisoning is yet to be determined, with investigations underway.
