Berhampur: Three persons were severely injured in sword attacks by goons at Hilpatna 3 line intersection under Gosani Nuagaon police station limits in Odisha’s Berhampur following a dispute over shifting of the lane while driving on Wednesday evening.
The injured have been identified as Sudarshan Das, Harihar Manigarahi, and Kumud Ranjan Brahma – all employees of Samlin Travels. They are undergoing treatment at the MKCG Medical College and Hospital.
According to reports, the three youths were passing through the Hilpatna 3-line intersection in a car. They changed lanes and a group of local youths came there and asked them to take a different lane. This led to a verbal argument and soon the local youths attacked them with swords.
The Gosani Nuagaon police have detained one person in this connection and launched an investigation into the incident.
