Thundershower, Lightning Likely In 23 Odisha Dists During Next 3 Hrs

Bhubaneswar: Light to moderate rain, thundershower, and lightning with gusty winds 30-40km/hr is very likely in the districts of  Keonjhar, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Boudh, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Bolangir, Sonepur, Phulbani, Khordha, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Puri and Jagatsinghpur during the next three hours, said a nowcast warning issued by the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here at 6.00 PM today.

The weather agency has issued a ‘Yellow’ alert for the above districts.

The IMD has advised people to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect from lightning strikes.
