Bhubaneswar: Thundershower with lightning is likely to occur at some places in 18 districts of Odisha in the next three hours (between 4.00 PM to 7.00 PM) today.
“Light to moderate rain/thundershower with lightning is likely to affect some parts of the districts of Puri, Khordha, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Bhadrak, Balasore, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Malkangiri and Koraput within next three hours,” Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar said in a nowcast warning issued by it at 4.00 PM today.
The Met department has a ‘Yellow’ alert for the aforementioned districts.
The weather agency has advised people to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
