Bhubaneswar: The regional center of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for light to moderate rain/thundershower with lightning at some places in 12 districts of Odisha, including the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, till 3.00 pm on Monday.
According to the weather office, the districts that are likely to be affected are Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Kendrapada, Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadark, Gajapati, Rayagada, Angul and Dhenkanal.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
