Thundershowers With Lightning Likely In Seven Districts Within 3 Hours: IMD

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for seven districts in Odisha, predicting light to moderate rain or thundershowers with lightning within the next three hours.

According to the nowcast warning issued by the IMD at 1:55 pm, the affected districts include Dhenkanal, Angul, Boudh, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, and Jagatsinghpur. The IMD has cautioned that these weather conditions may worsen within the next three hours.

Citizens in these areas are advised to monitor the weather conditions closely and be prepared to seek shelter in safer locations to protect themselves from lightning strikes. It is recommended to stay alert and keep track of weather updates for further instructions.
