Bhubaneswar: Light to moderate rain / thunderstorm is very likely to occur at one or two places over north coastal Odisha during the next 24 hours. According to the IMD, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Ganjam, and Gajapati will witness rains.
Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Cuttack, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Ganjam, and Gajapati. A yellow alert has been issued for these districts, while dry weather will prevail over the rest of the districts.
Bhubaneswar will have a partly cloudy sky with possibility of development of thunder/ lightning in the next 24 hours. Maximum and Minimum temperature very likely to be around 38 degrees and 27 degrees respectively, in the Capital City, the IMD stated.
“No large change in Maximum temperature (Day Temperature) during next 24 hours over the districts of Odisha and it will fall by about 2-30 C at a few places over the districts of Odisha in subsequent 2 days. Again Maximum temperature likely to gradually rise by 2-3 degrees from 24th April,” the Met department informed.
Maximum temperature will be more than 40 degrees Celcius at many places over the interior districts likely to be above normal by 3 to 4 degrees at a few places during next 24 hours. The IMD advised to take precautionary measure for hot weather condition while going outside during daytime.
