Bhubaneswar: During the next 24 hours, thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara Dhenkanal, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nawarangpur, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Cuttack, and Jagatsinghpur, the IMD said today.
Maximum temperatures observed appreciable fall at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha, at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha and no large change at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha. They were below normal at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha and normal at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha, the IMD stated.
On Thursday the highest maximum temperature of 42.5 degrees was recorded at Boudh and the lowest minimum temperature of 20.5 degrees was recorded at Phulbani in the plains of Odisha. “No large change in Maximum temperature (day temperature) during next 2 days and gradual rise by 2-4 degrees thereafter at many places across Odisha,” the IMD bulletin read.
