Bhubaneswar: Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, and Balasore on Thursday, the Indian Meteorological Department informed and issued a yellow warning for these districts.
Similarly, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nawarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, and Bhadrak are very likely to witness light rain and thunderstorm over the next 24 hours.
Dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha on Tuesday and Wednesday. Today, Angul recorded the highest maximum temperature of 43.7 degrees while Phulbani recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 22.5 degrees.
“There will be no large change in Maximum temperature (Day Temperature) during next 2 days. On Thursday and Friday, there will be a slight fall by about 2 degrees across Odisha. Maximum temperature will be more than 40 degrees at many places over interior Odisha,” the IMD added.
“The temperature is very likely to be above normal by 3 to 4 degrees Celcius at a few places during next two days. It is advised to take precautionary measure for hot weather condition while going outside during daytime (11AM-3 PM),” the Met Department cautioned.
