Bhubaneswar: Moderate to intense thunderstorm with lightning, hail and gusty surface wind speed reaching 50 –60 kmph and light to moderate rain is very likely to affect some parts of Cuttack, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur and Kendrapara during the next three hours, said a nowcast warning (Orange) issued by the Meteorological Centre here at 8.15 PM today.
Under its impact some damage to loose/unsecured structures, water logging in low-lying areas, and some damage to standing crops and Banana, Papaya trees is likely, the warning added.
