Bhubaneswar: Light to moderate thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph and light to moderate rain likely to affect some parts of districts of Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara and Khordha (including Bhubaneswar city) within the next three hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a nowcast warning issued at 5.20 PM.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect from lightning strikes, the IMD warning said.
