Bhubaneswar: Light to moderate thunderstorm with gusty wind speed reaching 30- 40 kmph is likely to affect some parts of districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Ganjam and Kandhamal within the next two hours said a nowcast warning issued by the Meteorological Centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here at 4.45 PM today.
The Meteorological Centre has issued a ‘Yellow’ alert for the aforementioned districts.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
