Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning for 15 places in Odisha, forecasting light to moderate thunderstorms and heavy rainfall in the next two to three hours.
As per the nowcast warning issued by the IMD at 7:45 am, the districts under yellow alert include Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha (including Bhubaneswar City), Cuttack City, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Gajapati, Rayagada, Balangir, Bhawanipatna, and Nabarangapur.
Residents are advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions, including monitoring the weather for worsening conditions and being prepared to relocate to safer areas. They are also warned to protect themselves from lightning strikes during the thunderstorm.
The IMD has issued a yellow message, indicating that people should be aware of the situation and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
