Thunderstorm With Lightning, Gusty Winds Expected In Parts Of Odisha Within Next 3 Hrs

Bhubaneswar: A light to moderate thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and light to moderate rainfall, along with gusty surface winds reaching speeds of 30–40 kmph, is likely to affect parts of the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Nabarangpur, and Kalahandi within the next three hours, according to a nowcast warning issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) at 5.00 PM on Monday.

The weather agency has issued a ‘Yellow’ warning for these districts and advised residents to stay alert and move to safer places as a precaution against lightning strikes.
