Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for seven districts in Odisha, predicting light to moderate thunderstorms with lightning and rain accompanied by gusty winds within the next three hours.
According to the nowcast warning issued by the IMD at 7:10 am, some parts of Rayagada, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Balangir, Boudh, Kandhamal, and Ganjam districts are likely to be affected within the next 2-3 hours.
The gusty winds are expected to reach speeds of 30-40 kmph, and the thunderstorms may bring light to moderate rain. The IMD is closely monitoring the situation, and residents are advised to stay tuned for further updates and follow the recommended precautions to minimise risks.
