Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning, predicting light to moderate thunderstorm with lightning and light to moderate rain with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph in 14 districts in next three hours.
Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Koraput, Rayagada, Khandamal, Boudh, Cuttack, Khurda, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Angul, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts will be affected by weather conditions, according to the nowcast warning issued by the IMD at 2:15 pm.
Meanwhile, the regional weather office has advised residents to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to protect themselves from lightning strikes. The IMD has urged people to keep a close eye on the weather and seek shelter in safe locations if necessary.
