Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning predicting light to moderate thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and rain in several districts of Odisha, including Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, within the next three hours.
The alert, issued at 8:45 PM on Saturday, covers Ganjam, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Dhenkanal, Cuttack (including Cuttack City), Khordha (including Bhubaneswar City), Jajpur, Bhadrak, and Balasore districts.
The IMD has placed these districts under a ‘Yellow’ alert, urging residents to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions. The weather agency has advised people to monitor the weather conditions closely and move to safer places to protect themselves from potential lightning strikes.
