Thunderstorms Likely In Eight Odisha Districts Within Next Three Hours

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre has issued a yellow alert for eight districts in Odisha, warning of light to moderate thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds in the next two to three hours.

The districts under yellow warning include Koraput, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Mayurbhanj, Khordha, and Gajapati. Citizens in these areas are advised to remain cautious and keep a close watch on the weather.

According to the nowcast warning issued at 1 pm, the affected regions can expect light to moderate rain accompanied by gusty surface winds reaching speeds of 30-40 kmph.

The Meteorological Department has urged people to take necessary precautions and move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
