Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning for seven districts in Odisha, predicting light to moderate thunderstorms with gusty surface winds reaching 30-40 km/h, lightning, and light to moderate rain within the next three hours.
As per the nowcast warning issued by the IMD at 2 PM, the affected districts include Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Nabarangapur, Sundergarh, and Nuapada. Citizens in these districts are advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
The IMD has warned of lightning strikes and advised people to be prepared to move to safer places if the weather conditions worsen. Residents are urged to keep a close watch on the weather and follow safety guidelines to minimise risks.
