Thunderstorms & Rain Likely To Hit 14 Odisha Districts In Next 3 Hours

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow warnings to 14 districts in Odisha, predicting light to moderate thunderstorms with lightning and light to moderate rain within the next three hours.

According to nowcast warning issued by the India Meteorological Department at 2pm, the districts likely to be affected include Nuapada, Bargarh, Balangir, Sonepur, Jharsuguda, Sundergarh, Sambalpur, Nabarangapur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, and Mayurbhanj.

Residents are advised to exercise caution and keep a watch on the weather.

The IMD has warned of gusty surface wind speeds reaching 30-40 kmph and has advised people to move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
