Bhubaneswar: Ten Odisha districts are under a yellow warning, expecting a light to moderate thunderstorm with lightning or light rain within the next three hours, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The regional weather office has issued a nowcast warning in this regard at 8:30 am. The affected districts include Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Balasore.
Meanwhile, residents are advised to monitor the weather and seek shelter to avoid lightning strikes.
The IMD has also forecast a gradual rise in night temperatures by 2-3 degrees during the next 48 hours.
