Bhubaneswar: The monsoon session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly (OLA) will commence on July 2 with some changes in the timings, as informed by Speaker Bikram Keshari Arukha on Wednesday.
Arukha said that the Assembly will be held as per Covid guidelines. Only a decision has been taken to change the timing of the second sitting which was held from 4 pm to 6 pm. Now the second sitting will be held from 4 pm to 7 pm.
The session will have 24 working days and is scheduled to end on August 4. Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari will present the full-fledged Budget for the year 2022-23 on the first day of the monsoon session.
Out of the 24 business days planned for the session two days have been marked for private members’ business.
