Bhubaneswar: A three-year-old toddler died due to a collision between a tractor and a bike near the Angi River Bridge under the Dabugaon block in Nabarangpur. The mishap also left the deceased toddler’s husband critically injured.
The deceased girl has been identified as the daughter of Tulasi Gouda, a resident of Kanyasramguda. She was travelling with her father and five-year-old brother on a bike when their vehicle collided with a tractor near the Angi River bridge.
Tulasi and his two children were thrown off the vehicle and landed on the road. The three-year-old girl died on the spot, while her father was critically injured. Her brother, however, escaped with minor injuries.
Upon being informed, police rushed to the spot and took the injured father and daughter to the Dabugaon Community Health Centre, where the girl was declared dead. As Tulasi’s condition deteriorated, he was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital for further treatment.
Following the incident, locals blocked the Nabarangpur-Umarkote road by placing the body of the deceased girl on the road demanding adequate compensation to the family of the deceased girl.
