Puri: A tourist bus parked near the Malatipatpur bus stand in Puri caught fire on Tuesday, reducing nearly 80% of the vehicle to ashes. Fortunately, all passengers escaped unharmed.
Initial reports suggest the bus, believed to be from West Bengal, was parked when the fire broke out. Locals alerted authorities, and two fire engines rushed to the spot, bringing the blaze under control.
Preliminary investigations indicate the fire may have started while the driver was cooking inside the bus. Police are currently questioning the driver, though no injuries or casualties have been reported.
