Puri: Mystery shrouds the death of a tourist at Konark Eco-Retreat near Ramchandi in Odisha’s Puri district on Sunday.
The deceased tourist has been identified as Md Alam Hussain, a resident of Patia in Bhubaneswar. He reportedly died of ‘cardiac attest’.
According to reports, Hussain had booked a cottage at the eco-retreat where he had gone with his wife on Saturday.
Hussain fell ill on Sunday and was rushed to the community health centre (CHC) at Gop. However, the doctor at the CHC declared him ‘brought dead’.
On being informed, Chandrabhaga Marine Police reached the eco retreat and seized the body. The police have registered a case of unnatural death in this connection and sent the body to Charichhaka hospital for post-mortem, IIC Pratima Sahu said.
