Puri: Thousands of tourists barged into the Sun Temple at Konark in Puri district after they were not able to get entry tickets due to a glitch in the e-ticketing facility.

Irate over it, the tourists barged into the temple by pushing aside the private security guards deployed at the temple. The situation normalised after the e-ticketing facility was restored.
As per sources, the authorities are facing difficulties as there has been a surge in the number of tourists. While the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) has arranged for the entry of 3000 tourists daily, the temple is witnessing a footfall of 10,000 tourists daily.
