Rayagada: Two tourists who were stranded in the Nagabali amid flood-like situation in the river were rescued after an hour’s ordeal. The duo was seen standing below the hanging bridge on Nagavali river, passing through the district.
They had taken shelter on a large piece of rock and were seen sending signals to the people watching them from the bridge.
The two tourists belong to Podapadi in Kashipur block. Fire Service personnel rushed to the spot and pulled the duo out of water. They were stuck as water ingressed all of a sudden, amid heavy rains, reports said.
“The duo was rescued from Podapadi area under Kashipur block. They were trapped in Nagabali river and rescued safely by Fire Service teams from Rayagada and Kolnara,” the local Fire Officer said.
