Baripada: A tragic accident occurred near Murgasahi under Karanjia police station in Mayurbhanj district, claiming three lives and leaving three others seriously injured.
The incident happened when a tractor, carrying villagers returning from a sports festival in Khadikudar village, lost control and plunged into a canal.
The deceased include two minors and the tractor driver. The injured were rushed to Karanjia Medical College with the help of fire brigade and ambulance. Despite medical efforts, three people succumbed to their injuries, while the others are undergoing treatment.
The accident has sent shockwaves through the local residents. Police are investigating the cause of the incident.
