Bhubaneswar: The Police Commissionerate of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack has issued a traffic advisory ahead of President Droupadi Murmu’s six-day visit to Odisha, starting February 2, 2026. The President is scheduled to arrive in Bhubaneswar first as part of her official itinerary.
In view of VIP/VVIP security and to ensure smooth traffic flow, authorities have imposed temporary restrictions on several key roads. This measure has been taken under Section 28 of the Odisha Urban Police Act, 2003, and Regulation 36 of the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissionerate (Traffic and Public Order) Regulations, 2008.
Commuters are advised to avoid the designated routes, use alternate roads wherever possible, plan their travel in advance, allow extra time to reach their destinations, and follow the instructions of traffic personnel to facilitate smooth vehicle movement.
The restrictions will not apply to emergency vehicles, including fire tenders and ambulances.
The police have urged residents and commuters to cooperate in order to ensure the success of the President’s visit and maintain smooth traffic management in the city.
