Bhubaneswar:  In view of the upcoming India-England ODI cricket match at Barabati Stadium on February 9, the Commissionerate Police has imposed traffic restrictions in Cuttack city to ensure smooth flow of traffic and maintain public order.

According to a release issued by the Commissionerate Police, no vehicles will be allowed to ply on certain roads and lanes from February 5 to 6, during the ticket sales period.

The Commissionerate Police has restricted vehicular movement on roads leading to Barabati Stadium, including the stretch from Lions Eye’s Hospital Chhak to Barabati Stadium via Killkhana Road, as well as the routes from C.B.-1 Chhak and P.H.D. Office Chhak towards the stadium.

Vehicles will be allowed to park in designated areas, including OCA Cricket Academy ground, Upper Baliyatra ground, and Dayashram ground, from where spectators can walk to the ticket sales centre.

The police have also arranged separate queues for men and women to purchase tickets. Two rows have been arranged for men on the Director of Industry office side, while a single row has been arranged for women near the Omfed sales counter.

Emergency vehicles, including fire and ambulance services, will be exempted from these restrictions.

The Commissionerate Police has requested the public to plan their route accordingly to avoid delays.
