Baripada: The helper of a trailer truck was killed while he was inspecting the wheels of the long vehicle. The deceased was identified as Anup Pal Mondal, a native of West Bengal.
The mishap occured on NH 49 under Bisoi police limits, about 40 kms from here. According to reports, the trailer was parked near a dhaba when the helper was checking the tyres.
Another trailer which was speeding, rammed into the stationary one, killing Mondal on the spot. Bisoi police rushed to the spot and sent the body for autopsy to a Government medical facility.
Mondal was helper in the trailer which was coming from Kolkata and going to Champa via Raigarh, but lost his life midway in the tragedy. Driver of the second trailer fled from the spot.
