Sundargarh: A trailer truck was swept away by floodwaters while attempting to cross a bridge over the Sefai River near Jhantalbud under Badagaon in Sundargarh district Tuesday.
According to reports, the incident occurred when the river was swollen due to heavy rainfall. The trailer driver, identified as Sujit Aind, is still missing, while the helper, Abinash Barala, was rescued.
Soon, local residents informed the police and fire brigade personnel, who launched a rescue operation.
Till the last report came in, rescue operation is underway to trace the missing driver.
