Train Collides With Tractor On Tracks Near Puri, No Casualties Reported

Train Collides With Tractor

Bhubaneswar: A major mishap was averted on Monday afternoon after the Baidyanath Dham Express collided with a tractor that was stuck on the railway tracks near Biraramachandrpur village in Puri district.

According to reports, the tractor became immobilised on the tracks while attempting to cross. Upon spotting the oncoming train, the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene. The train, which operates between Puri and Patna, struck the tractor but sustained no significant damage.

There were no reports of injuries.

However, the front portion of the tractor was completely mangled in the impact. Train services were briefly disrupted, with the express halted for nearly 20 minutes before continuing its journey.
