Bhubaneswar: Indian Railways has said that it will resume the train services to and from Bhubaneswar from 12 noon on Friday. Some trains will start operating from 12.00 noon, while some other trains will start operation from 2.00 pm today.
As per the information provided by the East Coast Railway (ECoR), apart from the cancelled trains (which were notified earlier), other trains will run as per schedule. Down trains coming from Visakhapatnam towards Bhubaneswar and Howrah are running now.
UP trains from Kharagpur towards Visakhapatnam will be received at Bhadrak Station at about 2.00 pm today. First scheduled train is 12245 Howrah-Bangalore Duronto Express.
Trains scheduled to originate from Bhubaneswar and Puri will run after 12.00 noon today, except the notified cancelled trains.
As per an ECoR press release, keeping in view the safety and convenience of passengers, train services had been cancelled in Brahmapur-Bhadrak Section of Howrah-Chennai main line, including branch lines towards Puri, Paradeep, Dhamara, Keonjhar and Talcher.
Railway teams have been deployed in the vulnerable locations for continuous monitoring of the railway assets. Patrolling teams are still working in the sections.
It is to be noted that 203 trains had been cancelled in Odisha as a precautionary step to avoid any loss of life and property due to Cyclone Dana.
