Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of the Prime Minister’s 75th birthday, an unprecedented enthusiasm for the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ (One Tree in the Name of Mother) campaign has been witnessed in Odisha.

On the first day of the Assembly session, a special tree plantation drive was organised where Speaker Surama Padhy, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, Deputy Speaker Bhabani Shankar Bhoi, members of the Council of Ministers, and MLAs took part enthusiastically.

The event witnessed what officials described as “unprecedented enthusiasm,” reflecting a collective commitment towards environmental conservation and honouring motherhood through the symbolic gesture of planting trees.
