Gajapati: A tri-lingual call centre named ‘DRDA Helpline’ has been made functional in Gajapati district. The call centre dedicated to the District Rural Development Agency was inaugurated by Electronics and IT Minister Tushar Kanti Behera on August 15.
“The helpline is being operated in Odia, Telugu and Saura languages and it is an apt manifestation of the 5T principles of Government of Odisha,” a press note issued by the State Government stated. On Thursday, Behera flagged-off ‘Awaas Ratha’, a campaign vehicle to create awareness among the locals.
Besides addressing grievances and ensuring geo-tagging of the rural houses in a time bound manner, the facility will disseminate pro-active information regarding: Installment release; RH registration status; MGNREGS and IHHL assistance disbursal, to the beneficiaries and PRI members.
“It is the first in the State where not only grievances, but also proactive rural housing (RH) information is being given to the beneficiaries and PRI members,” the note added.
